The accident happened on Saturday, February 2, 2019, as the chopper of the Nigeria’s vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, crash-landed in Kabba, a town in Kogi state.
Luckily, the VP is safe and there were no casualties.
The spokesperson, Laolu Aknade, confirmed the incident, but said the vice president was safe and that no casualties were recorded.
“VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi state,” Akande posted on Twitter.
The cause and other circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident is yet to be ascertained and made public by the authorities.
