Reports going round in the social media today is that A nurse in Lagos state has been arrested for reportedly selling a newborn baby for N350,000 after she lied to the parents that the baby was stillborn.

The woman was arrested after a relative asked to see the baby.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the nurse was seen in handcuffs as police officers interrogated her.

The baby girl was also spotted being held by a family member after she was rescued.

It was gathered that the nurse had sold the baby to a family residing in Ajah area of Lagos, after she lied to the family about the baby’s condition.

She had even told the parents that she buried the child for them.

However, things became suspicious after a family member asked to see the baby no matter what.

The family of the baby involved the police and investigations led to the confession from the nurse.

A Nurse has been arrested for selling a newborn baby for N350,000 after lying to the new mom that she had a stillborn in Lagos. . . The incident happened at Trinity Clinic, along Meiran Rd, Ifako-Ijaiye and the girl was sold to a lady residing in Ajah. . . The nurse was said to have told the parents that she had already helped them bury the child, but trouble started as a member of the parents’ family insisted on seeing the corpse. . . Policemen were later involved and during interrogation, the suspect confessed to selling the baby and took them to the buyer’s house, yesterday, where the girl was retrieved. The culprits have since been detained at the Meiran police station.
